Hyatt Regency, Hyatt House - London Stratford

Our Matthew Taylor (Acting as Client Rep, Project Quantity Surveyor and Procurement Agent) and our Lee McMahon (Acting as On-Site PM) for our Client ES Properties Sarl, delivered the Hyatt Regency, Hyatt House Stratford City in which all phases of the project were completed in Q1 of 2023. Our Role for this Project included Client Representation, Project Management, Quantity Surveying Services and Procurement Agent.

Project brief

The Project included the following works –

  • Lift Extension Works Package – Completed in 2019 – Originally a 188 Room Holiday Inn (on Floors 4-7) and 162 Room Staybridge Suites Hotel (on Floors 8-12) with separate lift banks servicing the “separate” hotels, our Client wanted to convert 1 floor (Level 8) of the Staybridge Suites Extended Stay Rooms into a Suites Floor for the New Hyatt Regency – we were engaged to manage the lift extension works package to enable the Holiday Inn Lifts to Service the new Hyatt Regency Suites on Level 8 in addition to the floors it was already servicing.
  • Full Refurbishment of the Short Stay Hotel Rooms (188 Rooms), including the Conversion of the Level 8 Extended Stay Rooms to Suites (37 Rooms) – Completed in Q3 of 2022.
  • Full Refurbishment of the Ground Floor Entry (including New External Canopy Structure and Lighting) as well as a Full Refurbishment of the Level 3 Public Areas Completed in Q2 of 2022.
  • Full Refurbishment of the Extended Stay Hotel Rooms (125 Rooms) – Completed in Q1 2023.
  • Conversion of the Level 12 “Lounge / Bar Area” to Meeting & Event Space for up to 228 Guests. • Rebranding of Hotel to Hyatt Regency / Hyatt House – this included all new external Signage to be removed and replaced in time for Re-opening – Completed in Q2 2022.
